Holomua Healing Arts, LLC was started by Brittany Yap in 2013 after Reiki and hypnotherapy proved useful in helping her better deal with a chronic health condition. She felt her experience and newfound knowledge in alternative healing could help to improve the quality of life for others, so she traded in her 9-5 for a healing arts business.

Britt is a motivational speaker, certified life and business coach, Usui Reiki Master Teacher, and clinical hypnotherapist. She became the first person in Hawai’i and one of the first people in San Francisco to become a Certified Medical Reiki Master under Reiki Master Raven Keyes. This training opens doors for Yap to do Reiki treatments in hospitals and operating rooms at the patient’s request. Britt is also an award-winning journalist and Amazon best-selling author. In March 2017, she moved to Northern California and opened up an office in Alameda. Previously, she had an office in Kapolei, O‘ahu. Britt continues to serve Reiki and coaching clients from all over the world by phone and Zoom. In Hawaiian, Holomua means “to improve; to progress” – a perfect fit as her main goal is to help clients improve and progress in their daily lives.
